android: disable greyscale for specified apps

Can be done using Tasker (Google Play)

Add tasks to turn greyscale off/on:

  1. Go to 'Tasks' tab
  2. Click + to add a new task
  3. Name: "Greyscale on"
  4. Click + to add a new action to the task
  5. Custom Setting
    1. Type: Secure
    2. Name: accessibility_display_daltonizer_enabled
    3. Value: 1
  6. Go back to tasks list
  7. Click and hold the task you created → 3 dots → Clone
  8. Name it “Greyscale off”
  9. Edit the action, change value from 1 to 0

Create profile to trigger the tasks:

  1. Go to "Profiles" tab
  2. Click + to add a new profile
  3. Application
  4. Select apps you want to disable greyscale on (like Google Maps)
  5. Choose the “Greyscale Off” as the action
  6. Click and hold the selected action (“Grayscale Off” with the green arrow left to it) and choose “Add Exit Task”
  7. Choose “Greyscale On” as the exit task

Bonus: If you use custom launcher (like Olauncher) you can create another profile to turn greyscale on when you open your launcher (= navigate to home screen). This way, if you ever disable greyscale, it will be soon enabled again by just using your phone.
