android: disable greyscale for specified apps
Can be done using Tasker (Google Play)
Add tasks to turn greyscale off/on:
- Go to 'Tasks' tab
- Click + to add a new task
- Name: "Greyscale on"
- Click + to add a new action to the task
- Custom Setting
- Type: Secure
- Name: accessibility_display_daltonizer_enabled
- Value: 1
- Go back to tasks list
- Click and hold the task you created → 3 dots → Clone
- Name it “Greyscale off”
- Edit the action, change value from 1 to 0
Create profile to trigger the tasks:
- Go to "Profiles" tab
- Click + to add a new profile
- Application
- Select apps you want to disable greyscale on (like Google Maps)
- Choose the “Greyscale Off” as the action
- Click and hold the selected action (“Grayscale Off” with the green arrow left to it) and choose “Add Exit Task”
- Choose “Greyscale On” as the exit task
Bonus: If you use custom launcher (like Olauncher) you can create another profile to turn greyscale on when you open your launcher (= navigate to home screen). This way, if you ever disable greyscale, it will be soon enabled again by just using your phone.
