Decorate with purpose
I love when one's house is both beautiful and practical. Many people have arbitrary rules about their interior design, "electronics belong in the office" or "cleaning stuff belongs in the cleaning closet"
Nope, instead of categorizing stuff like that, you should decorate your house by how much you use something. If you use your Dyson almost every day, keep it in your living room. Or in my case, I want my tool box to be easily reachable so I have it on the bottom shelf of my bookshelf. It's cool since it makes me look like I'm a practical person who can fix his stuff.
Of course some stuff is just ugly and you can't utilize this tip in everything. But when you can it's beautiful since it adds a little touch of personality into your house :)
