Don't stick to 1 format
I prefer physical books over e-books. I also like to travel light, having only my backpack with me. This often means I have to leave my paperback book at home.
Instead of not reading when traveling I just read on my phone on the go, and then continue reading the paperback book when I'm back home. There's no reason why you should stick to just 1 format. Reading on the phone is actually surprisingly comfortable if you just set the reader with some pleasant font & colors (I prefer sepia themes when reading). And the best part is, no extra luggage!
(another option is to take your e-reader which takes less space than physical book)
