Vulnerability is a magnet

I used to think that opening about things and showing your insecurities and flaws is unattractive and generally something that people don't want more of in their life.

Then one of my friends opened up about his depression and stuff, started being super open about it. Instead if shying away I started respecting him even more.

After that I've been making an effort to be more open about my feelings and to talk about stuff. Surprisingly, when you share your struggles people seem to care and relate to you more.

Of course you don't want to overshare the first time you meet someone. But every once in a while, when you feel like it, push the boundaries of your connection just a little bit. You might be surprised how positive it can be for the both of you.
