cheapest option is plenty enough
Make a list of things you've owned for 2+ years, costed over 50 bucks and still actively use. For me it looks something like this:

I'm probably forgetting something but still, it's a short list. Most of the things I bought and thought were gonna be for sooo many years and go through soooo much usage weren't. Because I either got bored of the hobby, or me and my life changed in a way I no longer need it.
When we buy something that possibly could last for years, it's easy to fall into the "buy it for life" trap. Because if you know the thing is gonna be used pre much the rest of your life, it's worth the extra investment, right? Yes, in some cases, but most of the time it's not. Buy it for life is a trap not because the products suck or are overpriced but because our life never stays the same, it's in constant change.
Our needs and circumstances change. Often in ways we don't anticipate. Most of the time just buy what you need right now, and don't try to optimize for the long term future. And if you really do use something for the rest of your life, well, you'll notice it and can easily upgrade.
